About Alex

I had my first camera when I was 8 years old. Photography and Travel were the only things I wanted to do. I worked in Television for 21years for the BBC, then Central TV and Finally Eagle Road Studios, either taking chunks of time out from in between programmes for travelling, but also being lucky enough to travel around the Globe with work. After 21 years in the TV industry in 2010, I went solo and so now it’s just me, my camera and the adventure of life.

There is nothing better than throwing a few things in my rucksack and going off to explore new lands, camera in hand – it’s just wonderful.

I realise that lots of people may want to do things that I have done, but most people will never take the first step. Whether I’ve woken up aching on the Inca trail, the Annapurna Circuit or walking across Zaire, it makes me feel alive. I love exploring our planet it’s a beautiful place.

To wake up and find either elephant poop outside your tent door or 1000’s of butterflies waiting for you, puts a smile on my face. I live my dream and my life to the fullest of my capability and with a smile on my face.

I hope that I have captured the essence of these places to share my special moments with you and that they may inspire you to go and have a look at the planet that we live on, whether it’s unexplored fields down the road from where you live, or the trip of a lifetime you’ve always been promising yourself to the place of your dreams, it doesn’t matter where your exploring starts – so long as you go and have a look and take the step outside your front door.

I have travelled to over 100 countries, from Antarctica in the south to Svalbard in the north and a myriad of places in between, they are all different and I have enjoyed each country for it’s own uniqueness, from deserts and jungles to mountains and open plains, all beautiful and all glorious.

It doesn’t cost a lot of money to start exploring, it just takes the first step outside the front door. Go and look at our planet and enjoy every moment.

Home for me is in Worcestershire with my husband Phil and husky Alffie.

Life is an adventure, enjoy every moment.
